Frequently Asked Questions

What size web sites do you work on?

ProfiMedia undertakes a wide range of work, that value between £2,000 and £70,000. The type of project ranges from small, static web sites to large, complex, database driven sites that integrate into existing software systems.

How much will it cost to build me a site?

How much does it cost to buy a house? It depends on the area, how many rooms it has, what facilities it has, the list could go on. It is the same with web sites. Unfortunately it is impossible to give even a ball park figure.

We would love to provide you with a fully costed quotation so why not get in touch.

What do you need to know before you can provide me with a full proposal?

In order to ensure we produce the highest quality proposals possible, we have produced a word document that outlines all of the information we require. We would ask that you either complete the document itself or ensure as many questions as possible are answered in any invitation to tender you release. We understand that it is not always possible to cover everything in an invitation to tender. We therefore would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your requirements either face to face or over the phone.

How long does it take to produce a site?

There is no single answer to this question as it depends hugely on the complexity of the site and the speed at which you produce the deliverables at your end. However, our average project probably lasts about three months.

Do I need a content management system?

A stagnant, unchanging site will not generate repeat traffic. It is therefore important that you are able to update your site on a regular basis. Of course this does not necessarily mean you need an enterprise level CMS. There are a variety of options that suit most budgets and we are happy to discuss them with you.
